The society in China is divided into the ruling class and the working class. During the Shang dynasty(1523-1027BC) The Ruling class consist of kings, priests and nobles and the working class consist the common people. During the Zhou dynasty(1027-321BC) The Ruling class is still the same but the working class is divided into scholars, peasants, craftsman and merchants. During the Qin Dynasty, the Shi class was less powerful and no longer own land and army, During the Han dynasty, it began scholar class. positions were no longer hereditary.
